Family Peer Support Group

Bipolar Support @ MHAPS welcomes all family members and friends to the Family Peer Support Group on

Monday 12th December 2011
at 7-8.30pm

We now run a shared peer support group in Hillmorton hospital in the Acute In Service Takahe ward once a week on a Monday from 1.30-2.30pm for people with a mental health diagnosis. We aim to have this support group facilitated by peers; people who also know what it is like to have their lives affected by mental illness.

We also hold a fortnightly support group in the Linwood area -
Location: Linwood Resource Centre and toy library
322 Linwood Ave; corner of Smith Street and Linwood Ave
Next to the Christchurch City Council Service Center.

Meeting times and Dates:

Tuesday December 20th

Please check back later for next year's dates.

The intention of the support groups is to provide a place where people in similar circumstances can come together to share and learn from each other and be hopeful for each others future.

We welcome newcomers to our support groups and hope that you will gain as much from discussing your experience of living with bipolar disorder as you will from listening to others who are willing to share their own journey.

If you would like to attend one of these groups, please contact us with your details before attending for the first time.
